Madeline Sperry
Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Following graduation from high school attended and graduated from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing. Over the next 37 years worked in the following fields of medicine: Psychiatric, geriatric, orthopedic, obstetrics, dermatology, public health and general medicine. Married to husband Jon Sperry for 43 years. Have two children; a son, scott and a daughter Mindy, two grandsons ages 20 and 17 who all live in Iowa. Moved to Green Valley in May of 2000 and went to work part-time caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and children and adults with special needs. Joined SAV in 2004 volunteering her time as SAV front desk substitute, patrol, car commander, 10-100 supervisor, ERT Asst Mgr., Director of Community Services and Board member of SAV. Currently serving as Deputy Director of F.O.D.
Other activities include committee member of Women’s Club of Green Valley, member of Architectural Committee for Country Club North Assn., needlepoint, Pilates classes as well as still continuing to work with special needs children and adults.
