Green Valley Sheriff’s Auxiliary Volunteers

Carol Roskey

At one Green Valley residence, a couple went out and left their garage door open with three sets of golf clubs in the garage.  Another person remained at home so they didn’t shut the garage door.  When the couple returned 1 ½ hours later, they found that two sets of the golf clubs were missing. Each set was valued at $3000 with custom made woods and putters.  SAV would like to remind Green Valley residents to keep their garage doors closed and locked even if they are home.  It is easy for someone to walk in and out of the garage and not be heard.

A green Valley resident reported to SAV that a license plate was stolen off her vehicle.  She reported it missing Motor Vehicles and there are no suspects.

A Green Valley resident told SAV that a $4000 necklace with a diamond pendant was missing since Christmas.  She thought that perhaps it was lost but has been unable to find it in her house.  There were a variety of service people in the house the day she last remembers seeing it.  Many Green Valley residents own expensive jewelry that is often misplaced.  Have a set and safe place to put your jewelry.

In February SAV took 50 reports from residents.  These usually relate to possible thefts or frauds.  SAV checked 386 houses in this time period and patrolled 2600 hours as well as provided 3300 hours of community service.
