Green
Valley Sheriff’s Auxiliary Volunteers
Carol
Roskey
When
a rural Green Valley resident went on a trip recently, the key holder went to
the house and found that it had been broken into. The thieves came by breaking a large kitchen window. The house was not ransacked and the key
holder did not know if anything was missing but the car keys were still on the
table. Please be sure and how your
house checked if you are going away even for a short time. SAV does this for Green
Valley residents, although they do not enter a house if it is found open. A
sheriff’s deputy is called to check the house at that point.
An attempt was made to break into the vehicle
of a Green Valley resident while the was parked at the Baptist Church on La Cañada. The lock on the driver’s door was smashed
but the assailant was not able to get into the vehicle.
Two
local real estate agents were battling over placement of for sale signs. One of the agents had received permission
from the land owner to place his signs on the person’s property. Another real estate agent placed his signs
on top of the original signs, causing an estimated $800 to $1000 in
damages. Anyone putting up any kind of
signs need to be sure and got the owner’s permission and to not just remove or
damage someone else’s sign.
